Nov. 16 2:54 PM PT3:54 PM MT4:54 PM CT5:54 PM ET10:54 PM GMT6:54 AM 北京时间-Owens had 85 receiving yards but lost his jersey on Sunday, giving it to Titans running back Chris Johnson as he promised he would if Tennessee won, which it did, 41-17 over the Bills.
Analysis: The yardage total was a season high, but there's still very little to get excited about for Owens as he remains within a mostly woeful offense. It's not even clear who will start at quarterback Sunday for Buffalo at Jacksonville.
Nov. 11 10:09 AM PT11:09 AM MT12:09 PM CT1:09 PM ET6:09 PM GMT2:09 AM 北京时间-Owens returned to practice Friday and declared himself ready to play in Sunday's game at Tennessee.
Analysis: Owens said he fell asleep on his couch Monday night after practice, and woke up feeling stiff the next morning. He was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday, and the team said he had a strained hip. "Earlier in the week it was painful, but I knew I would be ready," said Owens, who is officially listed as questionable. "My couch is very comfortable, so it's easy to fall asleep on. (But) I don't know if it was the couch."
Nov. 2 1:17 PM PT2:17 PM MT3:17 PM CT4:17 PM ET9:17 PM GMT5:17 AM 北京时间-Owens had five catches for 39 yards in the Bills' 31-10 loss to Houston on Sunday.
Analysis: Buffalo's inept offense has all but killed Owens' fantasy production. He hasn't caught a touchdown since Week 2 and he has totaled 123 yards in the last four games.
Oct. 19 1:22 PM PT2:22 PM MT3:22 PM CT4:22 PM ET9:22 PM GMT5:22 AM 北京时间-Owens struggled once again in the Bills' 16-13 overtime victory over the host New York Jets on Sunday as he was limited to 13 yards on three receptions.
Analysis: Despite his high-profile signing with Buffalo, Owens has been a non-factor in the Bills' struggling offense. He's averaged 35.8 yards and scored once - in a Week 2 over Tampa Bay.
Oct. 12 10:21 AM PT11:21 AM MT12:21 PM CT1:21 PM ET6:21 PM GMT2:21 AM 北京时间-Owens had four receptions for 44 yards in Buffalos' 6-3 loss to Cleveland on Sunday.
Analysis: Buffalo continues to have trouble finding ways to utilize Owens. Trent Edwards completed 16 of 31 passes for 152 yards and was intercepted once.
Sep. 29 7:01 PM PT8:01 PM MT9:01 PM CT10:01 PM ET3:01 AM GMT11:01 AM 北京时间-Owens, who didn't catch any passes Sunday for the first time since he was a rookie, says the media is trying to goad him into saying something he'll regret.
Analysis: "Anyone who heard the line of questioning to me Sunday knows what the deal is," Owens said Tuesday as the Bills tried to put their 27-7 loss to New Orleans behind them. "They kept pushing, prodding, hoping I'd get myself into trouble."
Sep. 28 11:40 AM PT12:40 PM MT1:40 PM CT2:40 PM ET7:40 PM GMT3:40 AM 北京时间-Owens was held without catch for the first time since his rookie season in 1996 in Sunday's 27-7 loss to New Orleans.
Analysis: Owens failed to make a catch despite five passes thrown his way, ending a 185-game streak that was the longest of any active player. It was also the third-longest streak in NFL history, behind Marvin Harrison (stuck at 190) and Jerry Rice (274).
Sep. 22 10:24 PM PT11:24 PM MT12:24 AM CT1:24 AM ET6:24 AM GMT2:24 PM 北京时间-Owens didn't have a huge game in Week 2, but he caught his first touchdown for the Bills in their 33-20 win over Tampa Bay. He finished with three catches for 52 yards.
Analysis: It might take quarterback Trent Edwards some time to develop chemistry with Owens, but it's clear that the flamboyant wideout isn't what he once was. Owens should be nothing more than a second or third wide receiver, and he's not a must-start if Buffalo is playing a top-notch defense.
Sep. 16 3:59 PM PT4:59 PM MT5:59 PM CT6:59 PM ET11:59 PM GMT7:59 AM 北京时间-In his debut with Buffalo, Owens caught two passes for 46 yards as the Bills lost 25-24 to the Patriots.
Analysis: It was an anticlimactic opener for the high-profile receiver. Owens, who missed most of the exhibition season with a sprained toe, has recorded at least 1,000 receiving yards nine times in his career. "He's obviously a big-time weapon in our offense and we need to keep getting him the ball," Bills quarterback Trent Edwards said. "He's a competitor. I've said that all along. And that's rubbing off on the rest of us."
Aug. 31 8:17 AM PT9:17 AM MT10:17 AM CT11:17 AM ET4:17 PM GMT12:17 AM 北京时间-After missing three weeks nursing a sprained toe, T.O. returned to practice Monday, raising hopes that his presence might spark a lifeless offense.
Analysis: Though the start of practice was closed to the media, the Bills announced that Owens was back on the field and would address reporters afterward. The receiver has been out since jamming his toe in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 9, and returns as Buffalo prepares to close the preseason hosting Detroit on Thursday.
Aug. 25 9:52 AM PT10:52 AM MT11:52 AM CT12:52 PM ET5:52 PM GMT1:52 AM 北京时间-Coach Dick Jauron on Tuesday ruled out Owens from playing in a preseason game at Pittsburgh on Saturday because the receiver is still nursing a sprained toe.
Analysis: Owens spent 10 minutes working out on his own during practice, the first time he's been on the practice field since taking part in individual drills on Aug. 17. He's been out since jamming his foot in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 9.
Aug. 19 8:23 AM PT9:23 AM MT10:23 AM CT11:23 AM ET4:23 PM GMT12:23 AM 北京时间-A sprained toe will prevent Owens from practicing until next week, meaning he'll miss Buffalo's preseason game at Green Bay on Saturday. Coach Dick Jauron ruled Owens out of playing this week after the receiver missed his second straight practice Wednesday. Jauron said Owens isn't expected to resume practicing until ``next week some time.''
Analysis: Except for a brief 20-minute workout during practice Monday, Owens has been out since jamming his foot in a 21-18 loss to Tennessee in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 9. After playing Green Bay, the Bills have two more preseason games: At Pittsburgh on Aug. 29 and home against Detroit on Sept. 3.
Aug. 18 2:24 PM PT3:24 PM MT4:24 PM CT5:24 PM ET10:24 PM GMT6:24 AM 北京时间-Owens missed practice a day after testing his sprained toe during a 20-minute workout. Bills coach Dick Jauron said Tuesday that Owens required more treatment and was told to stay off his feet after the receiver complained of soreness. Owens also experienced discomfort standing after taking part in stretches and individual drills during practice Monday night, Jauron said.
Analysis: Owens has missed five of six practices and a preseason game against Chicago since jamming his toe in a 21-18 loss to Tennessee in the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 9.
Aug. 17 3:24 PM PT4:24 PM MT5:24 PM CT6:24 PM ET11:24 PM GMT7:24 AM 北京时间-Owens made a brief return to practice on Monday night to test his sprained toe that is getting better but not fully healed.
Analysis: After stretching with teammates, Owens spent about 15 minutes running routes and catching passes in individual drills. He then took off his helmet and practice jersey and watched part of the session before going for treatment. Owens didn't speak to reporters after his first time back on the field since jamming his foot during the first series of a 21-18 loss to Tennessee on Aug. 9. Coach Dick Jauron said Owens felt OK after practice, but noted he is still sore.
Aug. 13 3:02 PM PT4:02 PM MT5:02 PM CT6:02 PM ET11:02 PM GMT7:02 AM 北京时间-Owens expects to return to practice next week, meaning he'll likely miss the Buffalo Bills home preseason game against Chicago this weekend because of a sprained toe.
Analysis: Updating his injury on his Twitter page before the team's practice Thursday night, Owens wrote his toe is getting better and he'll possibly be back at practice Monday. He added that fans don't need to worry. Owens has missed three days of practice this week since jamming his toe in a 21-18 loss to Tennessee in the Hall of Fame game on Sunday. Coach Dick Jauron has listed Owens day to day, and had not ruled him out from playing on Saturday.
Aug. 11 8:25 AM PT9:25 AM MT10:25 AM CT11:25 AM ET4:25 PM GMT12:25 AM 北京时间-Owens was not present for the Buffalo Bills' morning walkthrough two days after the receiver complained about a sore toe following the team's preseason opener. Buffalo coach Dick Jauron would only say Tuesday morning that Owens was excused from practice, but declined to say why. Jauron said he would update reporters after the Bills' night practice.
Analysis: Owens complained about an aching toe in a comment posted on his Twitter.com site shortly after the Bills lost to Tennessee, 21-18, in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, on Sunday. Owens had two catches for 27 yards in his Bills debut, and played one series as did most of the team's offensive starters. Owens did not mention the toe injury to reporters after the game.
Jun. 30 10:33 AM PT11:33 AM MT12:33 PM CT1:33 PM ET6:33 PM GMT2:33 AM 北京时间-For Buffalo Bills fans who can't get enough of Owens, now they can have him for breakfast. With a throng of about 400 ``T.O.! T.O.!'' chanting fans crowded into one corner of a suburban Rochester supermarket, Owens officially unveiled the breakfast cereal that bears his name, `T.O.'s Honey Toasted Oats.'
Analysis: Noting he's never had a food named after him, Owens said having 'this beautiful handsome face' on the cover is better than making it on a box of Wheaties. The cereal is produced by Pittsburgh-based PLB Sports, which previously produced 'Flutie Flakes,' when Doug Flutie was a Bills quarterback.
May 18 11:07 AM PT12:07 PM MT1:07 PM CT2:07 PM ET7:07 PM GMT3:07 AM 北京时间-No stranger to attention, Owens drew plenty of it on a Monday that was busy even for the high-profile receiver. The day began with Owens joining his new Bills teammates as the team opened voluntary minicamps, and then segued into Owens filming segments for his VH-1 cable television reality show. Among the scheduled stops included a press conference at an art gallery, where Owens was to be presented the key to the city by Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown.
Analysis: Owens said he intends to attend most voluntary practices, which will be held over the next three weeks before the Bills mandatory minicamp in the second week of June.
Apr. 9 8:46 AM PT9:46 AM MT10:46 AM CT11:46 AM ET4:46 PM GMT12:46 AM 北京时间-Owens isn't averse to attending voluntary offseason workouts with his new team, the Buffalo Bills.
Analysis: Owens was scheduled to address reporters early Thursday afternoon after taking part in the Bills workouts this week. The star receiver, acquired by Buffalo in free agency last month, made headlines when he did not show up for the start of the team's conditioning program on March 23. Though stressing that the workouts are voluntary, Bills coach Dick Jauron previously expressed hope that Owens would show up to begin building chemistry with the team.
Mar. 25 11:55 AM PT12:55 PM MT1:55 PM CT2:55 PM ET7:55 PM GMT3:55 AM 北京时间-Owens has a pretty good reason for missing the start of the Bills' voluntary offseason conditioning program this week. The star receiver is in Washington, D.C., attending the sixth annual National Alzheimer's Gala. He'll receive the Alzheimer's Association's first Young Champions Award on Wednesday night for raising awareness in the fight against the disease. Owens' grandmother has Alzheimer's.
Analysis: Owens, who signed with the Bills on March 7, made headlines Monday when he was one of several players who didn't show up for the start of the team's 12-week voluntary workout program. Among the others being honored are French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia and his wife, Sharon Percy Rockefeller.
Mar. 23 1:19 PM PT2:19 PM MT3:19 PM CT4:19 PM ET9:19 PM GMT5:19 AM 北京时间-Owens is a no-show for the start of the Buffalo Bills' voluntary workouts.
Analysis: The team's strength and conditioning coach isn't worried. Assistant John Allaire stressed that attendance at the offseason conditioning program is voluntary and that Owens usually keeps himself in great shape. Allaire said Monday he's not sure if the star receiver will join the program. Under NFL rules governing offseason workouts, Owens is required to attend only the mandatory minicamp in June.
Mar. 7 2:39 PM PT3:39 PM MT4:39 PM CT5:39 PM ET10:39 PM GMT6:39 AM 北京时间-Owens has found a new team, signing Saturday with the Buffalo Bills.
Analysis: A person familiar with the signing told The Associated Press that Owens is headed to the Bills two days after he was cut by the Dallas Cowboys. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been officially announced. The question now is how T.O. will deal with Trent Edwards, who is only entering his second full year as starter. Owens has made life difficult for quarterbacks in the past and joins an offense that struggled mightily last year.
Mar. 6 1:21 PM PT2:21 PM MT3:21 PM CT4:21 PM ET9:21 PM GMT5:21 AM 北京时间-Owens' agent predicts the receiver will find a new team by the end of next week.
Analysis: Owens is searching for a new team after being released by the Dallas Cowboys. "There are several teams that are interested in signing Terrell," agent Drew Rosenhaus wrote in a text message Friday to The Associated Press. "I have been in negotiations with these teams. I will not identify these teams at this time. Terrell and I expect to have a deal in place by the end of next week if not sooner."
Mar. 5 12:49 PM PT1:49 PM MT2:49 PM CT3:49 PM ET8:49 PM GMT4:49 AM 北京时间-Owens was released Thursday, ending a three-year run in Dallas.
Analysis: Cowboys owner Jerry wants the focus on winning, something the Cowboys haven't done in the playoffs since 1996. Owens caught more TD passes than any NFL receiver over the last three years and was a big part of Tony Romo's development. But Dallas went 0-2 in the playoffs with Owens and failed to make the postseason in 2008.
Mar. 4 8:40 PM PT9:40 PM MT10:40 PM CT11:40 PM ET4:40 AM GMT12:40 AM 北京时间-According to ESPN, the Cowboys released Owens on Wednesday night.
Analysis: Owens spent three seasons in Dallas, not all of which were pleasant. He caught over 80 passes in each of his first two seasons with the team and 28 touchdowns combined during that span. In 2008, though, he made 69 receptions for 1,052 and 10 touchdowns _ by far his least productive season of his Dallas tenure. The move rids Dallas of a big locker-room distraction but also absorbing a big hit on their salary cap.
Feb. 17 12:49 PM PT1:49 PM MT2:49 PM CT3:49 PM ET8:49 PM GMT4:49 AM 北京时间-Cowboys owner Jerry Jones insists he hasn't decided whether Owens will return.
Analysis: Repeated questions over the status of Owens angered Jones. Speculation about the receiver's future has swirled since the Cowboys' season imploded with a blowout loss at Philadelphia that kept Dallas out of the playoffs.
